El pasado lunes 18 tenía lugar la ceremonia en la que se daban a conocer los candidatos para los Brits de este año. Encabezando la lista con tres nominaciones cada uno, Lily Allen, Pixie Lott, JLS y la ganadora del premio de la crítica el pasado año, Florence & The Machine. Lady GaGa también está nominada en tres de las cuatro categorías internacionales.
En esta edición, el premio de la crítica ha caido en manos de Ellie Goulding, mientras que Robbie Williams recibirá el premio honorífico por su contribución a la música.
La ceremonia de entrega será el 16 de febrero en el Earls Court Exhibition Centre de Londres, presentada por Peter Kay. Entre las actuaciones confirmadas están las de Dizzee Rascal, Cheryl Cole, Robbie Williams, Kasabian, JLS, Jay-Z, Florence & The Machine, Lily Allen y Lady GaGa.
